The Indicator

from Planet Money by NPR

If you haven’t heard about The Indicator, you can be forgiven. I stumbled upon this show, not too long ago and it has clearly become one of my favorites.

The show is produced by NPR (National Public Radio) and is part of the Planet Money series.

It is roughly about 10 minutes long and what the show discusses are indicators. These can be Financial indicators. Economic. Societal. etc. Not quite the fintech show, but this daily podcast should definitely be on your daily listening list.

The 10 minutes that can improve your life.

Top Fintech Podcast Worth Listening To This Week: NPR Episode 489 – The Invisible Plumbing Of Our Economy

Ever thought of sending someone an email, only to learn that they received it three days later? Sounds funny, right?

Electronic money transfers mean information traveling over wires, but even the biggest names in the US banking industry take days to make the transfer happen.

This week we go back and present this memorable episode by NPR’s Planet Money that airs a great podcast on the same problem. Their episode 489 “The Invisible Plumbing Of Our Economy” talks about why the American banking system is so slow and why is the British banking system much faster.
